Music City Roots debut broadcast to feature Emmylou Harris

With the fall season firmly entangled upon the Middle Tennessee area, a new partnership is hoping to put down some roots of their own. Producer Todd Mayo, The Loveless Cafe and WSM 650 AM will broadcast “Music City Roots: Live From The Loveless Cafe” debut show on Wednesday, Oct. 14. with performances from Emmylou Harris, Pam Rose, Mary Ann Kennedy and Annie Crane & Robin Aigner.
The sold-out show will be broadcast from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. on WSM 650 AM in front of a live audience from the Loveless Barn, one of the Nashville, Tenn. area’s newest concert venues.
Music City Roots producer, Todd Mayo is hoping to repeat the success he’s had producing Bluegrass Underground, a live show taped for WSM radio featuring the best in music from the world of Bluegrass.
Music City Roots, billed as “a weekly show built on the remarkable Americana music scene and the legacy of WSM’s historic roots in live radio,” will be emceed by WSM deejay Eddie Stubbs. Jim Lauderdale has been tapped as the show’s guest host and live interviews will be conducted by Craig Havighurst.
