The Nov.7 taping of Song of The Mountains at the Lincoln Theatre in Marion, Va. could easily be titled Hot Band Night at the Lincoln.
Three of bluegrass’s most popular touring bands — Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper and the Williams & Clark Expedition — will be featured at the show, which is taped for national broadcast on Public Broadcasting System stations throughout the country.
Song of The Mountains hosted by Tim White and is produced through a collaboration between The Lincoln Theatre, WCVE Public Television, regional bluegrass and old-time musicians, and the contributions of its supporters.
Tickets, at $25 each, can be reserved at the Lincoln Theatre box office, 1-276-783-6093.
Among underwriting sponsors of the show are the Carter Family Fold and Deering Banjos.
