Florida Lions bluegrass festival to benefit visually impaired

Lake Wales, Fla., — The annual Lions Club Bluegrass Festival in Lake Wales, Fla., has announced the lineup for its three-day event at the Florida Lions Camp on Tiger Lake Road.

The festival raises funds for the Lions Camp for the Visually Handicapped.

Booked for the 2010 bluegrass festival are:

  • Palms Bluegrass
  • Goldwing Express
  • Carolina rebels
  • The Fleas
  • Sawgrass Drifters
  • New River Boys
  • The Doerfels
  • Roger Bass Hillbillies

On Friday, an open stage jam session starts at 7 p.m. The all-day festival opens both Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Food and beverages will be available on the grounds, and camping — either hookups or primitive — is also being offered.
