Mandolincafe.com is reporting that Adam Steffey and Kym Warner have teamed up as a duo for the Mandolin Sessions in December while their bands are taking a year-end hiatus.
Steffey has been voted Mandolin Player of the Year six times by the International Bluegrass Music Association and is a multiple Grammy winner. He is a member of The Dan Tyminski Band, whose recent recording, Wheels, was named 2009 Album of the Year last month by the IBMA.
Kym Warner is from Australia, but is now based in Nashville. He is a founding member of the award-winning band, The Greencards, which earned the Americana Music Association Award for “Emerging Artist of the Year” in 2006.
