Former Williams & Clark Expedition founding member Bobby Clark wasn’t a free man long. With the official announcement of Clarks’s departure from the Expedition barely 24 hours old, Jerry Butler & The Blu-J’s have announced the addition of Clark to the the Blu-J’s.
“We are very excited to have Bobby come on board” said Jerry and co-founding member of the Blu-J’s John Wade. “He is no doubt one of the best in the business and is well respected among bluegrass musicians; this is really an honor for us.” Bobby will bring with him the energy, entertainment and fan first attitude that the Blu-J’s are known for.
An Oklahoma native and current Nashville resident, Bobby has worked with fellow Oklahoman Vince Gill, Vassar Clements, Larry McNeely, Peter Rowan and The Bluegrass Cardinals. Clark also worked with Mike Snider for more than 15 years before becoming a founding member of Williams and Clark Expedition where he has played for the last 8 years. Bobby also has to his credit The Winfield Kansas National Mandolin Championship, The Buck White Mandolin International Mandolin Championship, Kerrville, TX and the World Mandolin Championship in Des Moines, IA.
