L.R. Baggs, one of the front runners in the quest for the ultimate amplified tone for acoustic instruments, has announced Anthem™. The meat and potatoes of Anthem™ is a brand new patent-pending type of acoustic guitar microphone, the Tru-Mic, that L.R. Baggs claims will “unlock the potential of a microphone to capture the very essence of your guitar with high feedback resistance for demanding stages.”
According to a press release from the company, Tru-Mic “captures the majority of the sound of the guitar while eliminating any annoying honking or boxy qualities that have been previously associated with internal mic’ing.”
The Anthem™ and it’s Tru-Mic technology does not use any digital modeling to capture the sonic qualities of the instrument. “This is a mic and what you will experience is your guitar- loud with the fidelity and dynamics that come from a real microphone.”
A feather-weight control unit contains all of the essentials: volume, mix and phase and nestles securely inside of the soundhole for easy fingertip access.
The Anthem™ will begin shipping in April 2010 and with a suggested list price of $429.00
