2010 Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival set for June

Mark your calendars! June 12th, 2010 is the date for the 6thannual Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival in Wakarusa, Indiana. This year’s festival has been expanded to include two free events: an open-jam on Friday the 11th (starting at 6 pm) and the usual Sunday morning bluegrass gospel service and carry-in lunch (starting at 10 am).

The Saturday Festival features Millard Edwards and the Virginia Crossties (from Coeburn, VA), Ricky Prater and the Midnight Travelers, Sandi Paul and Raisin Corn, Deadwood, Clyde Carr and the Hymn-Tymers, and the Heartstrings Bluegrass band.

The Wakarusa Bluegrass Festival will again partner with the Family Christian Development Center in Nappanee, Indiana.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children 12 and under will be admitted free. Advance tickets may be purchased by sending a check and self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

Bring a low-backed folding chair or blankets. Primitive camping is available for $5.00 per night. There will be plenty of good food, coffee and soft drinks. No alcohol allowed on the festival grounds.
