Released to great acclaim in May 2009, the epic “Celebrating 50 Years Of Del McCoury” boxed set might have appeared to be the summary and crowning achievement of a fabled career. The Del McCoury Band is the most awarded act in the history of Bluegrass music with more than three dozen combined IBMA awards, including an unprecedented 9 Entertainer of the Year trophies.
