Nashville, Tenn., — The Grascals kicked it up on a recent taping of RFD-TV’s Larry’s Country Diner and the episode is set to air Saturday, March 19 at 11 p.m. Eastern / 10 p.m. Central. The Grascals’ rousing set included a fiery performance with special guest Darryl Worley on “White Lightning,” his duet from the group’s current number #1 Billboard Bluegrass Album, The Grascals & Friends – Country Classics With A Bluegrass Spin (Cracker Barrel /BluGrascal Records). The sextet also performed their current single, “I Am Strong,” and “Louisiana Saturday Night,” both from the disc. Rounding out their performance were the classics “Up This Hill and Down,” “Red Apple Rag” and “Dooley.” Check Larry’s Country Diner and local listings for specific channel information.
“It’s always great fun,” says The Grascals’ co-founder Terry Eldredge of taping the popular show. “You never know what’s going to happen, and this time, Larry surprised us with classic TV footage of The Osborne Brothers’ performance of ‘Up This Hill’ on the set’s jukebox – and then we performed it ourselves …Very cool.”
