The Los Angeles Bluegrass Situation is a result of Comedian Ed Helms (The Office and The Hangover) and Largo proprietor Mark Flanagan realizing “there wasn’t enough bluegrass in the Los Angeles area.” According to the website for the L. A. Bluegrass Situation, “after a near-religious experience at the legendary Telluride Bluegrass Festival, Ed came home on a mission to bring more bluegrass to L.A.” Helms and Flanagan got together once again and the Los Angeles Bluegrass Situation became a reality.

Global Inheritance, the 501c3 non-profit organization teaching individuals to think and act creatively in solving global imbalances, is set to return to the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, CA on Saturday, April 24 & Sunday, April 25. The organization will bring their Energy FACTory initiative to the festival for the third time with the High Plains Mixer which will feature popular electronic DJs remixing country music’s greatest hits. The High Plains Mixer will be powered by the Cattle Drive where festival goers can win music, VIP passes, Stagecoach merchandise and more as they help power the sets by running on hamster wheels, riding bikes, turning hand cranks and riding seesaws, among other things.
