Pigeon Forge, Tenn. — A special Saturday “WDVX Blue Plate Special” this Saturday will feature an appearance by nationally acclaimed Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out.

The popular radio show is broadcast before a live audience and hosted by The Pottery House Cafe & Grill at the Old Mill Square in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

IBMA maps out annual gathering through 2012

Whatcha doin’ in late September 2012?

If you’re a bluegrass fanatic or part of the industry, you can mark your calendars now. The International Bluegrass Music Association has entered into a new three-year contract to host the annual World of Bluegrass events through 2012, the organization said in a recent statement.

The Adcocks host Christmas Concert for homeless at Station Inn

The Station Inn’s ninth annual Christmas Bluegrass Benefit Concert for the Homeless will begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 14.

The Station Inn is the Mecca for bluegrass fans wanting to hear their favorite music in Nashville, Tenn.

A long list of performers has already signed up to donate their time to the benefit, according to Eddie and Martha Adcock, who have been among prime organizers of the event in past years. Other coordinators are Gene Johnson, mandolinist for Diamond Rio; and Donna Sonner.
