This week’s edition of Music City Roots marks the final broadcast of the inaugural season with a short pause for the holiday season. Bluegrass Music is once again front and center for this week’s broadcast. The Wednesday night broadcast will feature Cherryholmes, Mountain Heart, The Nashville Mandolin Ensemble and Chris Volpe.

Nashville, Tenn. — WSM 650-AM announced the launch of “Music City Roots: Live From The Loveless Cafe,” a weekly show built on the remarkable Americana music scene and the legacy of WSM’s historic roots in live radio. Airing Wednesday nights from 7 – 9 p.m. live from the Loveless Barn, at the intersection of Highway 100 and the Natchez Trace Parkway, “Music City Roots: Live From The Loveless Cafe” is the newest addition to the grand tradition of live music programming on WSM

NPR airing “Road Song” story on Rob Ickes by Craig Havighurst tonight

We’ve just learned via an email from Rob Icke’s that Craig Havighurst’s story on Road Song, based in part on interviews with Rob and Michael Alvey, will air on National Public Radio tonight on All Things Considered. An exact air time was not available.
