Nashville, Tenn., — Grasstowne’s lead singer, Steve Gulley, is hoping their cleverly titled brand new sophomore release, “The Other Side of Towne,” which hit streets yesterday, does just what this band of veteran players intended for it to do when they were recording the project – define who Grasstowne is as a band and solidify their indentifiable sound. Early indications are that it is doing just that….

Pinecastle releases Thacker, Parmley CDs

Pinecastle Records this week released two new CDs, The Hangman by Ernie Thacker and Route 23 and 3 Silver Dollars from David Parmley & Continental Divide.

In a news release, Pinecastle called the release of the The Hangman “a monumental achievement for Ernie Thacker and Route 23.”

Cordle guests on new single by The Lawsons

The Lawsons– that’s Kellard and Melva — along with guest Larry Cordle can be heard on the single, “I Heard My Mother Call My Name In Prayer”, from their new CD on Prime Cuts of Bluegrass, Vol.95.

The CD, “Shout It From The Highest Hill,” is scheduled to release in January on the Kindred Records label.
