ABINGDON, Virginia - On Sunday, September 28th, 2008, Pinecastle recording artists The Dixie Bee-Liners will be kicking off IBMA week with a special sunset concert and barbecue party in Nashville. With a host of surprise musical guests and a barbecue supper included with admission, the evening is shaping up to be a fun (and affordable!) way to kick off World of Bluegrass 2008.

The Dixie Bee-Liners’ Pre-IBMA Bar-B-Cue Blowout will be held on at Norm’s River Roadhouse 20 minutes from Music Row in Nashville. Situated on five acres near the Cumberland River, Norm’s is the perfect place to enjoy bluegrass music. Join The Dixie Bee-Liners and friends for an intimate sunset concert and a barbecue supper, right on the river!

Fans of The Bee-Liners can also catch the band at their Official World of Bluegrass Showcase on Monday evening, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. at the Renaissance Center. “We are unbelievably excited about our Official IBMA Showcase,” says lead singer-songwriter Brandi Hart, “but I’m also looking forward to being able to ’stretch our legs’ and do a couple of full sets at Norm’s. We have an awesome lineup of surprise musical guests, and I’m hoping the evening will end with an all-star jam!”

Dixie Bee-Liners to celebrate new CD

On the heels of this week’s release of their new CD, the Dixie Bee-Liners are planning two release parties.

Called “Ripe,” the Pinecastle CD went on sale Tuesday.

The Station Inn, Nashville, Tenn.’s bluegrass Mecca, will host the first CD release party on Friday (April 18). The second party will be held in Bee-Liners’ hometown of Abingdon, Va., on April 21 at The Barter Theatre.

Pinecastle is touting the early acknowledgment the album has achieved. The Dixie Bee-Liners’ first single, “Down on The Crooked Road,” hit No. 1 on the Bluegrass Music Profiles’ Top 20 Singles chart for March and “Ripe” recently celebrated nine consecutive weeks as the No. 1 album on the Roots Music Report Bluegrass chart.

The project also achieved rankings on the Bluegrass Unlimited chart this month.

Ripe” was produced by lGrammy-winning producer Bil VornDick, who has directed projects for Alison Krauss, Ralph Stanley, Bob Dylan, Jim Lauderdale and James Taylor.

The album includes guest appearances from band alumnus Andy Falco (now with the Infamous Stringdusters), Mark Fain and Andy Leftwich of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, ex-Grascal David Talbot, and dobro player Travis Toy from Rascal Flatts.

The Dixie Bee-Liners have finished recording their first CD for Pinecastle. The release date is still planned for the first quarter of 2008 pending completion of the artwork. Fans of the Dixie Bee-Liners will recognize their signature sound on the new album along with some of producer Bill Vorndick’s personal touches.

The Dixie Bee-Liners have been in the studio recording their debut record on Pinecastle. The record will be produced and engineered by the legendary Bil VornDick, who has worked with everyone from Bob Dylan to Ralph Stanley. Despite, Bil Vorndick’s dynamic repertoire he still has great things to say about working with The Dixie Bee-Liners:

Pinecastle adds Dixie Bee-Liners

Pinecastle Records has added bluegrass sensation The Dixie Bee-Liners to their already dynamic roster.

With a dedicated following and debut album voted one of the “Best of 2006″ by Bluegrass Now; The Dixie Bee-Liners are already creating a buzz in the bluegrass world. This buzz has already generated excellent opportunities for the band with appearances on the BBC Scotland, the Food Network, and their song “Lord, Lay Down My Ball & Chain” is featured in an upcoming film entitled American Shopper. Signing with Pinecastle hopes to open many more doors for the band
