Elvis Costello will appear on A Prairie Home Companion, Thursday, February 4th, in a special, first time live Cinecast of the show from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN. Tonight’s show will be beamed into hundreds of movie theaters around the the United States and Canada, and will also air in audio-only form during the A Prairie Home Companion’s regular time slot this Saturday….

Jim Lauderdale receives GRAMMY nod for Best Bluegrass Album

Two-time Grammy Award winner and Americana music icon Jim Lauderdale received a Grammy nomination when his latest album Could We Get Any Closer was honored in the “Best Bluegrass Album” category. Lauderdale is also in the mix in two other categories this year: he co-wrote two songs on George Strait’s album Twang (including the title track) which is up for “Best Country Album”…
