Cumberland, MD — After a spectacularly successful 2008 festival, the folks at McCoury Music and High Sierra Music have added a bluegrass music academy to the program for DelFest 2009, broadening and enriching the festival experience for all levels of musicians. Still consider yourself a student, no matter what your age? Especially, a student of bluegrass music? If so, Del McCoury and his DelFest have something special for you.
The inaugural DelFest Academy will be offered May 18-21 at the DelFest festival site in Cumberland, Md. It will feature three days of classes and performances for banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar and bass as taught by members of the Del McCoury Band and others.
