Pinecastle Records puffs up its chest

Pinecastle Records is all aglow over the label’s 20th anniversary observance during the recent International Bluegrass Music Association’s Fan Fest — and company executives have more reasons to smile with IBMA award winners and current successes on the bluegrass charts.

The Grascals giggin’ in Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio this week

After a show tonight at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA with Chris Hillman & Herb Pederson, The Grascals will be be heading to Whiteburg, KY this week for an appearance at Appalshop for WWMT’s “Bluegrass Express Live.”

The Oct. 15 performance will take place in the Appalshop Theater at 91 Madison Avenue in downtown Whitesburg….

The nominees for the 2009 IBMA Instrumental Recording of the Year feature some of the industry’s top musicians and an excellent crop of tunes.
