Mandolinist Scott Napier, a 10 year veteran of Larry Sparks’ Lonesome Ramblers and stints with Dale Ann Bradley and Marty Raybon has released a new solo project fittingly titled “All Out Front.” The new CD features seven instrumentals penned by Napier along with 5 other tracks that feature the talents of Bobby Osborne, Dale Ann Bradley, Don Rigsby and Marty Raybon….

He grew up in bluegrass and later earned acclaim in country music, so it should come as no surprise that the latest release from Marty Raybon and his band, Full Circle, bears the mark of both. Indeed, “This That & the Other” is not only a showcase for a singer hailed as a great by fans, critics and fellow artists alike, but follows in the footsteps of legendary acts like the Osborne Brothers and Jim & Jesse by offering compelling performances that make distinctions between bluegrass and country almost meaningless.

The Lawsons– that’s Kellard and Melva — along with guest Larry Cordle can be heard on the single, “I Heard My Mother Call My Name In Prayer”, from their new CD on Prime Cuts of Bluegrass, Vol.95.

The CD, “Shout It From The Highest Hill,” is scheduled to release in January on the Kindred Records label.
