If you’re bag is Lester Flatt, Jimmy Martin, Father Bill Monroe and his great fiddler Kenny Baker, this album is a tailor-made fit. You won’t find any chromatic banjo runs or polished four-part harmonies here….

Workshops to bridge California bluegrass events

Grass Valley, Calif. — The Mandolin Cafe is sponsoring an evening concert and series of workshops on June 17 connecting a break between the California Bluegrass Association Music Camp (June 14-17) and Father’s Day Festival (June 18-21).

This is the second year the Mandolin Cafe has partnered with the California association to present this special event.
