Way Up on a Mountain is my introduction to the Colorado-based Bluegrass band, Spring Creek. Their new music and my old ears made for a pleasant meeting.

Way Up on a Mountain is the band’s third CD and its first on a major bluegrass label. Judging from the band’s talents and staying power– they’ve been together since 2004…

Spring Creek releases Rebel Records debut

Spring Creek, a bluegrass band from the Rocky Mountain region, this week released its first CD on the Rebel Records label.

From Lyons, Colo., the quartet, together for five years, is the only group to win band competitions at the Telluride and RockyGrass festivals in the same year….

Spring Creek releasing “Way Up on a Mountain” on Rebel.

Colorado-based Spring Creek will celebrate the release of its new Rebel Records CD, “Way Up on a Mountain,” at a release party May 9 at the Boulder Theater in Boulder, Colo.

The show at the theater, located at 2034 14th St. begins at 8 p.m.

Way Up on a Mountain” is the band’s first CD on the Rebel label. Ironically, it will mark the group’s second CD to hit retail shelves in recent months….

Rebel’s western venture ends at Spring Creek

Rebel Records has signed a recording deal with Colorado bluegrass band Spring Creek, giving it the distinction of being the first act west of the Mississippi River to record for the Virginia-based bluegrass label.
