Rural Rhythm Records has announced the current single, “Hard Rock Mountain Prison (’Til I Die)” by award-winning group Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out has landed at the #1 slot on Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine’s December 2009 Top 30 singles chart.

“Hard Rock Mountain Prison” (’Til I Die) was written by Ray Edwards, Larry Cox and Terry Foust….

Every time they go out, IIIrd Tyme Out is right on the money. That’s with their stage shows and CDs. Their new self-titled CD, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out, reflects a slightly different band moniker — but the quality remains the same: Top notch.

Band leader and premier vocalist Moore added his name to the group after charter member Rockin’ Ray Deaton left the lineup a couple of years ago….

Tomorrow, May 13th at 11:00 AM ET, Sirius-XM Satellite Radio will host the world radio premier of the long awaited new album by the multi-award winning band, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out. The self-titled new CD will be featured on Bluegrass Junction’s “Track by Track” show hosted by Kyle Cantrell airing on Sirius (Channel 65) and XM (Channel 14). The show will be rebroadcast on Thursday, May 14 at 9:00 PM ET and Sunday, May 17 at 11:00 AM ET….

Second Season, Kristin Scott Benson’s second solo album, will be released today, January 13, on the Pinecastle Records label.

It’s milestone No. 3 in just a few short months. In October, she was named the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Banjo Player of the Year for 2008. A month later, she became a member of two-time IBMA Entertainers of the Year, The Grascals.
